It was a long and cold winter so its refreshing to finally see some grass. The prolonged snow cover acted as a blanket and insulated the turfgrass from the cold and wind. All the playing surfaces look really good and we are starting off the season with some decent color. The new sod on the second green expansion looks good but hasn’t rooted down yet. It will start rooting once we consistently have warmer days and nights.

The greens need a little more time before they will be ready to play. Presently the soil temperatures are in the low 50’s so I expect those temperatures to climb with some warmer weather. If you would like to play the course please continue to use the temporary pins. We are a few weeks away from opening day so please look for another update in a few weeks. As always I encourage you to subscribe and comment to these updates. I’ll see you out in the fairways soon!
