“Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it.” Charles R. Swindell
It’s been an extraordinarily challenging work environment since that fateful day of the fire. The staff and I have risen to the challenge and have managed to maintain the property to a relatively high standard.

This fall the excessive rain and optimal temperatures resulted in outstanding turfgrass growing conditions. Having very little of our own equipment resulted in moments when we could not keep up with the pace of the rough. I appreciate your understanding of our situation. Thankfully, the growing season has concluded. As a friendly reminder walking on turfgrass with frost damages the plant’s cell walls and will kill the plant. Please check in with the Pro shop when morning temperatures are in the 30’s.
I can assure you that when a commercial building burns down, it is quite a process to navigate the next steps. It is finally cleaned up, and I am working closely with the building committee on the rebuild. We expect to have the foundation repairs and additional site work completed by Christmas. Our general contractor has a target date of St. Paddy’s Day for the shell of the building to be up.
Recently, some exciting course renovations were completed by our golf course architect. Matt Dusenberry reshaped the 3rd green complex and built five new driving range targets. Weather permitting sod will be installed on the 3rd green complex this week.
Thank you for all the support and positive comments towards the staff and I. There are still some bonus golf days of golf left and I hope to see you out in the fairways!
